Dear Friends and Supporters of Lewe in Liefde,
As we reflect on the past month, we are filled with both gratitude and challenges. Our aim to create a safe haven for the homeless on our farm remains at the forefront of our mission, and we are pleased to share with you some updates on our progress.
Firstly, we are grateful for the support of COMS, who donated a new roof for our shelter. This has ensured that our beneficiaries are sheltered from the cold and rain, providing them with a much-needed sense of safety and security. We continue to provide food and water, recognizing the crucial role that these basic necessities play in the wellbeing of our residents.

However, we are also faced with challenges. One of our residents suffered a stroke two weeks ago, and we are now working to find a frail care centre for him as he is not coping well. This has highlighted the urgent need for adequate healthcare facilities for the homeless, and we remain committed to advocating for their rights and needs.
Another challenge we have faced is the lack of water on our farm. We do not have a solar borehole pump, and this has made it difficult for us to provide our residents with enough water for their needs. We are currently investigating solutions and hope to find a sponsor or aid in the near future to help us address this challenge.
In addition, we suffered a loss on the farm when a veld fire destroyed approximately a third of the veld. However, we are grateful for the recent unexpected rains, which have given us hope that the veld may recover sooner than we thought.
As always, we remain grateful for any sponsors or aid to assist with our farm development. We recognize that we cannot achieve our mission alone, and we appreciate any support that allows us to continue serving humbly and promoting love and dignity for all.
Thank you for your continued support and for being a part of our journey.
