Lewe in Liefde operates a farm on the Loskop Road, where we provide shelter and support to homeless individuals.

Thanks to the generous contributions from the community of second-hand clothing, shoes, furniture, and household items, we can sell these goods at reduced prices and generate essential funds for our various projects.
Lewe in Liefde has signed a Confidentiality Agreement with Life Green Group to distribute Bokashi buckets. These buckets are marketed to collect household and food outlet kitchen waste. The kitchen waste is utilized to produce compost with the aid of probiotics. No smell is a guaranteed advantage.
The whole idea of the Bokashi buckets and the subsequent compost is to motivate households to grow their own vegetables thereby eliminating the huge need to purchase food. The compost is also used in training individuals/groups in the Foundations for Farming vegetable garden methods.
The secondary objective of gathering kitchen waste is to eliminate wet waste in the dustbins as well as from the landfill. Generally, kitchen waste is known to attract flies, cockroaches and harmful germs and bacteria.
Every week, we distribute food parcels to community members in need on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 10:00 AM to approximately 12:00 PM.
Currently, we provide support to 1,800 individuals each month — a number that continues to grow as more people face hardship.
However, securing food supplies has become an increasing challenge. Our ability to feed those in need relies heavily on the generosity of the public — every donation, no matter how small, helps us put food on someone’s table.
Without this vital support, we simply cannot meet the rising demand. Together, we can continue making a difference, one meal at a time.
Lewe in Liefde proudly distributes bread donations from Blue Ribbon to 26 non-profit organizations.
Invoices for each NPO are submitted to the Dignity Shop, and our dedicated Lewe in Liefde volunteers ensure the bread is distributed efficiently and fairly.
